St. Nicholas Youth Mission to New Orleans

Ten St. Nicholas parishioners headed south June 8-13 to work on a Habitat for Humanity house in Mandeville, Louisiana. It was hot, often muddy work, but the team members helped finsih the framing of one house, paint the interior of another and begin the landscaping of a third. There was also time to head into New Orleans for a dinner at the Acme Oyster Bar in the French Quarter one evening, and for a visit on another night to Holy Trinity Cathedral, where they had dinner with some members of the parish youth. The trip was organzied by the International Orthodox Christian Charities. Participants include Tinna King, Dan Kazanas III, Michael and Athena King, George and Julia Arbanas, Tim Palazzola, Drew Sewall and Father Michael Arbanas.
